Tornado

The High Sabbath of (Shavu'ot) Pentecost.

I had packed everything I owned,
because
The Voice for God had said:
"Do not linger here."

My computer was disconnected and so was my land base phone.
I had decided to move.
Everything was going wrong!
I had spent many nights awake,
and I thought this night I could finally sleep.
But as I was ready to undress for my bed,
I heard the Voice for God say:
"Keep your clothes on."
It was hot and I was wearing my shorts
and so I thought: "no big deal,
I'll just simply lay on my bed dressed."
But not for long!

The neighbor had been drinking and he was now pounding at my door,
Swearing and screaming.
Of course I never opened!
This went on all night.
And so I stayed up quietly praying in the dark all night.

As I watch the sun come up,
The Lord strengthened me in my body.

Since the experience of May 27th.,
every day had revealed new enemies,
But I was not quite prepared for the tornado of June 8th.
This Day was the True Day of ( Shavu'ot) Pentecost.

At about 4:00 p.m. I received a call from my mother on my cell.
She was quite alarmed and told me   
there was a tornado alert issued for my region.

I stepped outside to look at the sky.
It was very hot and humid, though hazy the sky was clear.
I alerted a few passers  by and a few neighbors.
I met a man who was aware of the dangers for he had just purchased batteries.
He informed me that the storm was huge and approximately an hour away
and coming straight my way.

Some of my thoughts were:
"Please Lord help me;
I have no basement to hide in;
All my things are packed;
The roof of this barn would not survive a breeze never mind a tornado;
I have no shelter but you my God!"

Quickly thick clouds formed and the wind picked up.
I was still outside when I heard the voice
of the Angel of the Lord.
His voice was calm.
"I'm by your side and I'll stand by you.
Step back and
Now go in and close and lock the door."
I did all He instructed.
"Now sit here on this side of the door
and do not for any reason open the door."

The power went out
and it got dark, very dark!!
I could hear the wind howling.
And this too got very loud.
And then I heard hail falling hard.
And then I heard people scream "runnn!!"
and I heard the heels of people running.
I heard dogs whining.
And then suddenly it all stopped!!
The hail, the wind, the noise.

But the Angel had said to me:
"Do not open the door!"
And so I just sat there on the step
curious and wondering
what was happening.

Finally I checked my watch and it was 9:30.
Where did time go?
The Angel said :  
"You will see a lot worse than this"
I opened the front door after the Angel told me to do so.
And there was debris everywhere and the street was more like a stream.

The roof was still attached.
After a quick call to my mother, I decided to go to bed.
As I laid there, the Angel of the Lord,
spoke many words to me.
He told me that I knew him and one day I would see him.
He told me to start eating again and finally he said:
"Go to sleep now, we'll speak later."
He also said:
"I am with you and I'll stand by you."

And so I slept profoundly!
